OFD Responds to Fire

The Okmulgee Fire Department, EMS, Okmulgee County Emergency Management and police responded to a fire that damaged an apartment in the 9 East complex, located off 1st and Inglis Streets, early Tuesday morning. The fire, reportedly started on a mattress, was contained quickly by the OFD without much damage to adjacent units. The occupants of the apartment were checked out by emergency management personnel.
