Free Christmas dinners to be delivered to Okmulgee families

Okmulgee is set to receive a boost of holiday cheer as St. Anthony Catholic Church, Gather and the 2/5 Food Pantry of Restore Church team up to host a free Christmas dinner for families in need. The event, titled Okmulgee’s Christmas Dinner, is focused on delivering homemade-style meals directly to residents on Saturday, Dec. 20.

Organizers will be delivering the free meals starting at 11 a.m. to families who live within the Okmulgee city limits. Meals will be distributed until the food runs out, with a limit of five meals per address. Please note, you must live within the Okmulgee city limits to receive a meal.

To ensure a meal is reserved, families must RSVP by 12 noon Friday, Dec. 19. There are absolutely no exceptions to this deadline. To RSVP, please call or text 918-271-9564 and provide your name, phone number, address and number of meals needed.
