J.T.

J.T. Howard, a resident of Dewar, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Dewar at the age of 76. He was born August 20, 1949, in Palo Pinto, Texas to Sidney Hardy Howard and Billie M. (McGaugh) Davis.

J.T. proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He loved hunting and fishing, and he worked for Polyvision as a steelworker for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pennie Howard; his son, James Thomas Howard; his parents, Sidney Howard, Billie Davis, and Bobby Davis; and his sister-in-law, Sue Howard.

J.T. is survived by his daughter, Krystal Rogers and husband Bryan, of Dewar; four grandchildren, Alexandra Edwards and husband Bryan of Okmulgee, James Tyler Howard and wife Mikaelah of Henryetta, Jonathan Howard of Tulsa, Howard

and Ashley Howard of Eufaula; and seven great-grandchildren, Addison Edwards, Brian Edwards, Carson Edwards, Georgia Howard, James Howard, Preacher Howard, and Ava Howard. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Huxtable and husband Lindy; his brother, Marles Howard; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Henryetta Civic Center.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service.
