Heather Brooke Henson Longan
Obituaries
December 3, 2025
Heather Brooke Henson Longan

Heather Brooke Henson Longan, 50, passed away after a short, but hard fought battle on November 27, 2025, in Morris, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 2, 1975, in Tulsa to David Henson and Sherry Arnold.

Heather was a proud member of the Okmulgee High School Class of 1994. After graduation, she earned two degrees from OSUIT. She explored several career paths before finding her calling in the oil and gas industry. She excelled as a buyer with OGI, where her natural talent for numbers and problem- solving allowed her to thrive. Her work brought her great joy and a strong sense of accomplishment.

Heather enjoyed quiet moments spent reading, savoring dark chocolate and relaxing in her bubble baths, as well as spending time with friends on her neighbor Billy’s front porch. Above all, she cherished her four children and six granddaughters, who were the light of her life.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Gladys Henson, Orville and Imogene Bryant, Paul and Doris Arnold, and also her bonus dad, Paul M. Arnold, Jr., along with her brothers, Russell Howell and Michael “Bobby” Howell.

Heather is survived by her mother, Sherry (Bryant) Arnold; father, David Henson October 2, 1975 – November 27, 2025

and stepmother, Judith; her children, Mariah Ingersoll and husband Curtis, Dalton Longan and wife Morgan, Jaxon Longan and wife Randi and Taya Longan; and her grandchildren, Lilianne Longan, Paisley, Phoenix and Valkyrie Ingersoll, and Ila and Alissa Longan. She is also survived by her siblings, Holly Henson-Cruce and husband Jason, Laurel Stokes, Jennifer Howell and Shawn Howell, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Heather requested that donations be made to the Jake Goodin Memorial Scholarship in lieu of flowers. Please make donations payable to Okmulgee High School Alumni Room in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be held from 1-6 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m.

A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Morris Church of Christ, with Keith Thompson officiating. Interment followed at Okmulgee Cemetery.
