As the community gathers in downtown Okmulgee to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Festival of Lights Christmas Parade and Christmas on the Square, a delicious chili dinner fundraiser to benefit CASA/Safehouse will be held to warm bodies and spirits in preparation for the outdoor activities.
The meal will take place tomorrow, Dec. 4, from 4-9 p.m. at the First Baptist Gym, located at 313. W. 5th Street. Timed perfectly before and after the Festival of Lights Christmas Parade, the dinner will provide a convenient and meaningful way to give back to local programs supporting children and families in crisis.
Adult meals are just $5, while children under five eat free. Each ticket includes a bowl of chili, drink and dessert – a comforting meal to kick off a night of holiday celebrations.
In addition to dinner, families can enjoy a silent auction, cookie decorating, hot cocoa bar and a surprise guest.
Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 918756-2549, or will be available at the door the night of the event. All proceeds benefit the Okmulgee CASA/Safehouse programs, helping ensure a safer, more supportive environment for local children.
