The Okmulgee County Board of County Commissioners met for its regular session Monday, addressing a slate of routine items ranging from officers’ reports to utility permits, employee forms and blanket purchase orders.
Commissioners began by approving the minutes from Nov. 24; along with Officers’ reports as presented from the County Clerk’s Office and the County Health Department. The board reviewed and voted on a series of blanket
purchase orders across county departments.
Among the approvals were:
• District 1: S&H Auto – $1,000
• District 1: Dollar General – $100
• District 2: Cintas – $700
• District 3: Burnett’s – $400
• District 3: Stewart Martin – $700
• General Government: Cookson Hills Publishers for legal publications – $1,500
• Health Department: Muscogee Nation for X-rays – $500
• Health Department: Amazon $5,000 Commissioners reviewed and approved the Schedule of Regular Meetings for the 2026 calendar year, which was approved. The board also approved Invitation to Bid #9 for an upcoming District 3 road project.
Sheriff Eddy Rice was recognized for 29 years of service to the county. He was presented his award since he wasn’t able to attend the recent county banquet held at the fairgrounds which honored fellow employees. Commissioners congratulated him, acknowledging the milestone with applause and gratitude.
