Green Country is celebrating one of its own this week as Grace Hogue, an exceptional Medical Assisting student from Green Country Technology Center, has been elected the new Northeast Region Vice President for the Oklahoma HOSA State Officer Team.
Hogue, already known on campus for her leadership, compassion and unwavering drive, earned this prestigious state position through what her instructors describe as determination, humility and a genuine commitment to helping others.
“Grace is the definition of perseverance and purpose,” GCTC staff shared. “She leads with heart, carries herself with true grace and shows up every day with the kind of drive that inspires everyone around her.”
Her election is not only a major personal milestone, but also a point of pride for the entire Green Country Technology Center community. Peers and teachers say Hogue consistently exemplifies the qualities that define strong future healthcare professionals – focus, empathy and an authentic desire to serve.
“This achievement is big – and it’s earned,” staff added. “We know she’ll represent GCTC and her fellow students with class, confidence and the work ethic that makes her who she is.”
Hogue will now help lead Oklahoma HOSA, the premier organization for student leaders pursuing careers in the healthcare industry. HOSA: Future Health Professionals carries a two-fold mission – to promote career opportunities in healthcare and to enhance the delivery of quality care to all people. As Northeast Region Vice President, she will help shape statewide initiatives, support student engagement and advocate for the future of health science education across Oklahoma.
With her dedication and natural leadership, those who know her say she is more than ready.
Her hometown, her classmates and the entire Green Country community applaud her success and look forward to the impact she will make in this statewide role.
