An Okmulgee woman was injured Friday morning following a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 75, north of Ferguson Road, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 7:52 a.m. on Nov. 21, when a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Mary L. Francis of Okmulgee attempted to turn left across the southbound lanes of U.S. 75. Troopers reported that Francis was facing northbound on the highway and began crossing when her vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle.
The second vehicle was driven by 29-yearold Ivan A. Gingerich of Thayer, Kansas, who was traveling southbound at the time of impact. Gingerich was not injured in the collision.
Francis sustained injuries in the crash, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and no passengers were involved in either vehicle.
The information released is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues.
The collision was investigated by Trooper Brian Warren (#687) of Troop B.
