The Okmulgee Rotary Club is kicking off its annual holiday preparations at the downtown Pocket Park, and they’re asking the community for a little help to make the space shine brighter than ever.
Club members are gathering decorations now and are specifically seeking working outdoor Christmas lights and garland that residents may have tucked away in storage. Instead of letting those unused decorations collect dust, the Rotary Club hopes locals will consider giving them a second life.
“Your donated lights will help us brighten up the park for the whole community to enjoy this season,” the club shared.
Anyone wishing to donate can simply send a message to the Okmulgee Rotary Club on Facebook, and a member will coordinate pickup.
The Rotary Club extends its thanks to everyone willing to help bring more sparkle, warmth and holiday cheer to Okmulgee this Christmas season.
