OCEM Report

This report is a summary of activities Okmulgee County Emergency Management participated in and does not reflect all activities performed by or participated in by Okmulgee County Emergency Management.

— Meetings & Coordination

• Board of County Commissioners Meeting: Attended the regular BOCC meeting to provide updates on current emergency management activities and ongoing recovery efforts.

• Henryetta Amateur Radio Club Meeting: Participated in the monthly meeting to discuss emergency communications readiness and ongoing collaboration.

• OCEM Search & Rescue Meeting: Attended the S&R meeting to review operational readiness, training needs, and upcoming deployment considerations.

• Meeting with OneOK: Met with OneOK representatives regarding pipelines located within Okmulgee County. Discussed details of the upcoming emergency response drill and reviewed emergency contact information. OneOK requested updated contact information prior to the exercise.

• Radio Training: Attended Radio 100 and Radio 101 training sessions with OCEM volunteers at the F.A.I.C. Fire Department in McIntosh County to enhance communications proficiency.

— Response Activities

• Grass Fires (three total): Responded to three separate grass fire incidents. The most significant event occurred east of Beggs, involving a large grass fire that resulted in the loss of one unoccupied structure. Supported operations alongside four assisting fire departments.

• Tractor Accident Response: Responded to a tractor accident, supporting incident management and coordinating with onscene responders.

• Traffic Control Assistance: Assisted District 3 with traffic control operations asso- ciated with a road construction project to ensure safety for workers and the public.

— Recovery & Planning

• District 2 DDIR ER Program Submission: Completed and submitted the reimbursement request for District 2 under the DDIR ER program for April Flooding infrastructure damage.

• Emergency Action Plans: Completed District 1 and District 2 Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).

• Countywide Hazard Communications Plan: Finalized and submitted the Okmulgee County Hazard Communications Plan to the Department of Labor for official review.

— Floodplain

• Assisted two realtors with questions regarding areas within Okmulgee County located in or near the floodplain and gave them guidance on requirements for building within the floodplain.
