The Beggs Golden Demons went toe-to-toe with one of the state’s best Friday night at Tate Field, showing determination, growth and plenty of fight before falling 35-6 to the 6thranked Dibble Demons in the regular-season finale. Despite the final score, the Golden Demons’ defense battled all night against a Dibble squad that’s outscored district opponents by more than 250 points this season and is the only 2A team to have beaten defending state champion Davis. Beggs matched the visitors in physicality and intensity, forcing key stops and showing the kind of resolve that should serve them well in next week’s playoffs.
