MGA brings home 14 medals at Team Tulsa Veterans Day Classic

The Mojo Grappling Academy (MGA) didn’t have far to travel this weekend, competing close to home at the Team Tulsa Veterans Day Classic, held Saturday at the Hatbox Event Center in Muskogee. The event drew athletes from across the region for a full day of wrestling action in multiple age divisions.

MGA entered 18 athletes into the individual tournament, and by day’s end, 14 wrestlers brought home medals – a strong showing for the young and growing program known for its dedication and sportsmanship.

— Early Session Highlights

The day began with the 4 & Under and 8U-12U Novice divisions.

In his first-ever wrestling tournament, Kannon Engelhardt went 2-2, earning a fourth-place medal. Meanwhile, Aryzona Cummings dominated her Novice division, winning all three matches in under 2 minutes and 49 seconds. She pinned two opponents and earned a 17-1 technical fall over the third, claiming the 10U Novice 120-pound title.

— Second Session: Girls Shine

The second session featured the 6U and all girls divisions, where MGA’s young female wrestlers made an especially strong impression – each one earning a medal.

• Maesa Brigge went 1-1 to earn silver in the 6U Girls 40-pound class.

• Raelynn Traweek battled to a 4-1 record (three pins) for second place in the 6U Girls 49-52-pound bracket.

• Mia Brigge captured another silver medal, finishing 3-1 (three pins) in the 12U Girls 75-pound class.

Adding to the medal count, sisters Adria and Autumn Brigge both secured bronze finishes, with Autumn going 2-1 for the day. Aryzona Cummings, competing again in another bracket, placed third after a 1-2 (one pin) effort.

Other standout performances included: • Lillian Primeaux (3rd, 15U Girls 145-165 lb)

• Harper Pierce (3rd, 6U Girls 60-65 lb)

• Rikki Olsen (3rd, 8U Girls 54 lb, going 3-2 with three pins)

• Harper Tecumseh-Sands (3rd, 10U Girls 88-95 lb, one pin) — Final Session: Strong Finishes in Open Divisions The third and final session of the day featured the Open divisions (8U-15U), where MGA’s boys competed in challenging brackets.

• Colton “Colt 45” Tecumseh turned in an impressive silver-medal performance, finishing 2-1 with two pins in the 12U 64-pound class.

• Luke Olsen captured bronze after going 3-2 with two pins in the 12U 80-pound division.

• Weston “Tons of Fun” Gilroy rounded out the group with a fourthplace finish in the 8U 105-pound division, going 1-3 with one pin.

— Primeaux earns gold in Morrison While most MGA wrestlers competed in Muskogee, Lillian Primeaux also traveled to Morrison on Sunday for additional competition.
