The College of the Muscogee Nation (CMN) Extension is inviting the public to take part in an engaging and educational Beekeeping 101 workshop on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Natural Resources Building, Room 103, on the CMN campus in Okmulgee.
This free, hands-on training is designed for aspiring beekeepers who want to learn the fundamentals of starting and managing their own hives. Participants will explore topics such as bee behavior, hive management, pollinator health and the crucial role bees play in supporting local ecosystems.
The session will be led by two experienced beekeepers from Tecumseh, who will share their knowledge and practical insights to help participants gain confidence in beginning their beekeeping journey.
Space for the workshop is limited, and registration is now open. Interested participants are encouraged to sign up soon, as slots are filling quickly.
