The Okmulgee Times is once again teaming up with local businesses to present the annual Cookie Crawl, a fun and flavorful way to celebrate Shop Small Saturday on Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Shoppers are invited to begin their day at the Okmulgee Times office, located at 320 W. 6th Street in downtown Okmulgee, where they can pick up a special Cookie Crawl box and map and list of participating businesses. From there, the fun begins as visitors make their way through downtown and around Okmulgee, collecting one free cookie at each stop.
Each participating business will offer their own sweet treat – from classic chocolate chip to festive holiday favorites – along with special promotions, giveaways and holiday shopping deals.
“This event is a great way to support our small businesses while enjoying some holiday fun,” Okmulgee Times staff member Katina Holland said. “It’s all about community – getting people out to explore local shops, meet business owners and discover what makes Okmulgee unique.”
The Cookie Crawl is held in conjunction with Shop Small Saturday, a nationwide initiative encouraging people to support local retailers during the holiday season.
Participation is free for shoppers, and businesses are encouraged to sign up as an advertising sponsor to be included on the event map and promotional materials.
