Football rankings tighten as end of regular season arrives

As the 2025 Oklahoma high school football regular season heads into its final week, the OSSAA district standings across Classes 3A, 2A and B are coming into sharp focus with playoff races tightening and several Okmulgee County teams in strong position to extend their seasons.

The Okmulgee Bulldogs have battled through a rebuilding year, sitting at 1-8 overall and still seeking their first district win under Coach Dolphin Davis. They will close out the regular season this Friday against Kiefer, who currently sits at second in the District at 7-2 on the season.

• Comanche (0-6, 1-8, -80) The Beggs Golden Demons are having another strong season, holding a 6-3 record and sitting fourth in District 2A-II-2 with +40 district points. A win Friday against the third-place Dibble Demons could secure a solid playoff seeding.

• Vian (6-0, 8-1, +90)

• Valliant (6-0, 9-0, +88)

• Antlers (4-2, 6-3, +50)

• Wilburton (3-3, 5-4, -13)

• Henryetta (3-3, 5-4, -17) • Atoka (2-4, 3-7, -42)

• Morris (1-5, 1-8, -42)

• Spiro (0-6, 0-9, -90) The Henryetta Knights (5-4 overall) are fighting for a postseason berth under first-year head coach Kevin Adler, while the Morris Eagles (1-8) have faced a rebuilding stretch under Coach Jimmy Whitlock. Both teams close the season Friday in district play, as the Knights travel to Atoka to take on the 3-7 Wampus Cats, while the Eagles travel to Wilburton to take on the 5-4 Diggers.

— Class B District B-I-4

• Caddo (4-0, 9-0, +60)

• Dewar (4-0, 7-2, +60)

• Quinton (2-2, 4-5, -30)

• Savanna (1-3, 4-5, -30)

• Keota (1-3, 2-6, -30)

• Canadian (0-4, 1-8, -60) The Dewar Dragons, ranked among Class B’s elite, have again proven dominant at 7-2 overall and undefeated in district play. With their explosive offense and stingy defense, Coach Matt Ross’s squad looks poised for another deep postseason run. The Dragons will battle the 9-0 Caddo Bruins for the district championship on the road.

• Weleetka Outlaws (3-0, 9-0, +45)

• Cyril (2-2, 4-5, -13)

• Wetumka (2-2, 4-5, -13)

• Strother (1-2, 4-5, -15)

• Alex (0-3, 3-6, -45) The Weleetka Outlaws remain unbeaten at 9-0 and lead their district with a perfect record and +45 margin points.

— District B-II-4

• Wilson (4-0, 6-2, +60)

• Copan (2-1, 6-2, +15)

• Webbers Falls (2-2, 4-5, -15)

• Arkoma (1-2, 4-6, -15)

• Gans (0-3, 3-6, -30) The Wilson Tigers sit atop District B-II-4 with a 4-0 district mark and 6-2 overall record, clinching at least a share of the district title heading into the final week.

-With just one week remaining, playoff positions will be decided by Friday’s results. Dewar, Wilson and Beggs have all positioned themselves for postseason play, while Henryetta looks to lock in a final win to secure advancement. A loss by Wilburton and Antlers could keep the Knights season alive.

Across Okmulgee County, the 2025 football season has once again showcased determination, growth and community pride and for several teams, the best is yet to come as November football begins.
