The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) announced Tuesday that the OG&E Coliseum at OKC Fair Park and Lloyd Noble Center at the University of Oklahoma will serve as the main sites for the OSSAA’s State Basketball Tournaments through 2030. OG&E Coliseum will also serve as the host site for the OSSAA State Wrestling Tournaments through 2030.
Classes A-BI-BII will play all quarterfinal and championship games at the OGSE Coliseum. Classes 6A-2A will be on a rotating 5-year schedule with both the Coliseum and Lloyd Noble Center for their quarterfinals. This will allow each class in 6A2A to play in the Coliseum three times and Lloyd Noble Center twice over the five-year period. Some semi-final contests in every class will take place at sub-sites. All state championship games will be played inside the brand new OG&E Coliseum.
“We sent RFPs to multiple facilities around the state and we could not be more excited to end up with two great sites to showcase our member schools and student-athletes,” David Jackson, OSSAA Executive Director, said.
“OKC Fair Park has had a storied history with the OSSAA throughout the many years in the Jim Norick Arena,” Kirk Slaughter, Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. President & CEO, stated. “In a tradition that was started last year in the final year of the Norick Arena, we are excited the OSSAA has decided to continue to play all basketball class finals in the new OG&E Coliseum. This is a great venue for both basketball and wrestling and the fan experience will be off the charts.”
“For the last 60 years, the home to high school basketball in Oklahoma was the Big House,” OSSAA Assistant Director for Class 4A-B Basketball Brian Lester said. “We hope to continue that tradition at the OG&E Coliseum and continue to make new memories for high school basketball players and fans.”
“We are thrilled for our member schools and student-athletes to have a chance to play on the same court where division one college athletes compete in Norman and in a brand new state of the art facility in Oklahoma City,” OSSAA Assistant Director for Class 6A-5A Basketball Lenny Hatchett added.
“Wrestling fans are going to love the opportunity to watch the best high school wrestlers in Oklahoma compete at OG&E Coliseum for state championships for the next five years,” OSSAA Assistant Director for Wrestling Wes Ruth stated.
The Boys and Girls Wrestling State Tournaments will take place Feb. 26-28, 2026. Basketball State Tournaments will be held March 3-7, 2026, for Classes A-BI-BII, March 10-14, 2026, for Classes 4A-3A-2A and March 11-14, 2026, for Classes 6A5A.
