Vivian Joyce (Billings) Hessom

Vivian Joyce (Billings) Hessom, a resident of Okmulgee, passed from this life on Friday, October 10, 2025. She was born Friday, December 15, 1950, in Santa Paula, Calif. to Joyce Elizabeth (Edmonds) Billings and David Lloyd Billings.

Vivian grew up in California, where she graduated from Lompoc High School in 1968. She loved singing and playing the piano in church. She had a horse named Alicka that she visited often at LaSalle Canyon, near Lompoc. She was a housewife for many years taking care of her three daughters.

Vivian is survived by her husband, Irving (Dusty) Hessom III; her three daughters, Lori Chrisman of Wichita, Kansas, Michele (Shelly) Foutz and husband Rufus (Lee) of Livingston, Texas and Amanda Wiesman and husband Chad of Bixby; grandchildren, Stanley Strecker, Jeremy Foutz, Adrian Strecker and wife Jillian, Trey Strecker, Rachel Hoyt, Charles Chrisman, Henry Chrisman, Agnes Chrisman, Kyleigh Wiesman, Katie Wiesman and Kyson Wiesman; one great grandchild, Dani Foutz; sister, Gail Ellis and husband, December 15, 1950 – October 10, 2025

A. D. of Beggs; motherin- law, Brenda Blanche of Okmulgee; nephew, Jed Hightower and wife Amy of Sapulpa; niece, Angela Beasley and husband Arthur Harper of Edmond; two great nephews and three great nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and David Billings of Morris; nephew, David Stone of Beggs; and father-in-law, Bob Blanche of Okmulgee.

Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Add’Vantage Funeral Service.

Graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2025, at Okmulgee Cemetery, 2601 S. Wood Dr. in Okmulgee.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gary Kelley’s Add’Vantage Funeral and Cremation Service of Tulsa.
