New Salem Missionary Baptist to celebrate 88th anniversary

New Salem Missionary Baptist Church will mark a special milestone this fall, as the congregation celebrates 88 years of worship. A Church Anniversary and Homecoming service will be held Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m.

The guest messenger for the occasion will be Rev. Darren Williams, pastor of First Baptist Church Central. Members and friends are warmly invited to join the New Salem family for this day of praise, reflection and fellowship.

A soul food dinner will be served prior to the service from 1-2:30 p.m. as part of the festivities.

The event is coordinated by the Anniversary Committee, with Rev. Harold White serving as pastor of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
