Edgar Hanson

Edgar Hanson, 73, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025.

On August 5, 1952, a bundle of joy was born to Lefton Hanson and Martha Leblanc Crawford in Okmulgee. They named him Edgar Hanson.

He was born and raised in Okmulgee, where he joined the United States Army. He went and attended welding school in Okemah to become a welder and he stayed in Okemah for several years. Then, he started to work at the Okmulgee Country Club golf course as a ground keeper. He worked at Okmulgee Health Department as a custodian.

E dgar found joy as a caregiver for people. He was united in marriage to Dianna Shannon for 35 years and was a loving husband, brother, cousin, uncle and devoted friend to everyone.

Proceeded in death are his son: Joseph Senegal mother: Martha Leblanc Crawford, father Lefton Hanson, sister Jo Ann Haynes, Bobbie Hanson, Carolyn Crawford; brother: Martin Leblanc, Jerry Leblanc, Larry Simpkins, twin Brother Edwards, August 5, 1952 – October 13, 2025

and William Crawford Jr. Left to Cherish his memory wife Dianna Shannon Okmulgee; sister: Deborah Jefferson of Tulsa; Linda Jefferson and Clarence of Okmulgee, Janis and Steve Crawford Hilscher of Perry, Martha Crawford of Las Vegas Nevada, Annette Crawford of Tulsa; and a host family and friends especially the grandkids and the great grandkids and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Okmulgee Chapel of Peace. Following the visitation, a graveside ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Grayson. Arrangements are under the direction of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors Inc. – Okmulgee Chapel.
