Obituaries

Mary Naomi Duclos

Mary Naomi Duclos, 72, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 10, 2025. She was born on September 12, 1953, in Madison, S.D. to Olfert and Jesse (Nichols) Rettedal.

Mary moved to Oklahoma to attend Rhema Bible Training College, where she met the love of her life, Thomas Stephen “Steve” Duclos. The two were married in 1991 and shared a beautiful life together rooted in faith and family.

Mary later attended Oral Roberts University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 2011. She had a lifelong passion for music and a special gift for singing. Mary joyfully shared that gift with others, mentoring many along the way. Her love for worship led her to serve as a Worship Leader for many ministries throughout her life.

Outside of her ministry, Mary found peace and joy in gardening, making jewelry and spending time with her loved ones.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David Rettedal; and a grandson, Dominic Duclos.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Duclos;

September 12, 1953 – October 10, 2025

her children, Candice Wells, Nathan Wells, Isaac Duclos and wife Aundy, Andrew Duclos and wife Tori, Nathaniel Duclos and fiancé Carmon and Jonathan Duclos; grandchildren, Andrew Duclos, Emma Duclos, Toby Duclos, Alex Duclos, Emerick Duclos, Cayden Butler, Yaniah LaSarge and Kenyon Duclos; great-grandchildren, Brielle Duclos and Tayli Duclos; and siblings, Debbie Whitaker, Esther Staebell, Dan Rettedal, John Rettedal and Mike Rettedal.

Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Mary’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon- winters.com.
