The American Legion Auxiliary recently presented Ron Martin, American Legion life member, with some 90th birthday gifts. The Auxiliary would like to thank Sweet Magnolias for the unique gifts they sell. Also, the Auxiliary wishes to thank all the generous businesses that donated to the poppy fund. One of the American Legion members that’s always ready to help is ‘Catfish’ George LeGrand, pictured with Auxiliary member Sherry Horn. The Auxiliary Poppy Program is a meaningful initiative that aims to honor and support veterans. Every year, members of the American Legion Auxiliary distribute bright red paper poppy flowers, handmade by veterans, to raise awareness and funds for the needs of veterans and their families.
