The Okmulgee Police Department announced the indefinite closure of the Mission Bridge Overpass on Highway 62 due to extensive damage. The incident occurred on Monday, Oct. 6, when a truck traveling westbound with its hydraulic bed raised struck the bridge.

The Mission Bridge Overpass will remain closed for an extended period while repairs are completed. Highway 62 eastbound and westbound lanes are not affected and will remain open at this time.
