The call for adventure is sounding loud and clear, as Cub Scout Pack 102 extends an open invitation to all children in grades K through 5th to join the fun, friendship and lifelong learning of Scouting.
The Pack meets every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, where kids discover that learning can be as exciting as it is meaningful. Whether it’s shooting an arrow, building and racing a handcrafted car or exploring the outdoors, Cub Scouts turn curiosity into confidence through hands-on experiences designed for every age level.
“When you’re a kid, fun comes first,” the group emphasizes. “Final exams, driver’s ed, and summer jobs will arrive soon enough. Cub Scouts lets kids have fun while teaching them skills that will help them later on.” Each activity is rooted in purpose, instilling teamwork, leadership, and responsibility while showing that doing your best is the most fun of all.
Children from any surrounding school are welcome to join. Parents are encouraged to bring their sons and daughters to learn more, meet current Scouts and see firsthand what makes Cub Scouting a true adventure.
To top it off, Pack 102 will host a Cub Scout Carnival on Monday, Oct. 13, also at First Assembly of God Church, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature games, snacks and plenty of opportunities for families to meet Scout leaders and learn how to become part of the pack.
“Anyone interested in becoming a Cub Scout is welcome to come,” organizers say. “Bring your friends and families – it’s going to be a great evening of fun and discovery.”
