August 13, 1938 – October 2, 2025

Mary Helen Lee, longtime Okmulgee resident, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at her Okmulgee residence. She was 87 years of age. She was born August 13, 1938, in Okmulgee to the late Joseph and Angela (Ramirez) Morquecho. Mary attended Saint Anthony School, graduating in 1956. he moved to Grady, N.M. for a short while, returning to Okmulgee in 1972. Mary and Jerry Lee were married on August 15, 1977, in McAlester. They enjoyed many years together, traveling to Oregon to see Jerry’s family and spending hot summers camping at Okmulgee and Dripping Springs Lakes. They also enjoyed Morquecho family gatherings and were blessed having this big family close by for support. Mary was known to be a feisty fighter who loved sports, especially OU football and OKC Thunder basketball. She enjoyed reading, shopping and watching westerns and loved to socialize. Mary worked for many years as a nurses aide and a private caregiver. She loved and supported her family and grandkids when able. Mary was a lifelong member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she served on the Alter Society and often volunteered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Henry, Ralph, John, Augustus, William, Charlie, Beatrice and three infants and her infant son, Dennis Allen McCary.

Survivors include her husband Jerry Lee, of the home, children Tracy McCary and wife Marilyn of Norman, Paul McCary and wife Teresa of Cypress, Texas, Chris McCary and wife Crissy of Silver Springs, M.D. and Rebecca Melson and Mike Yancey of Okmulgee, grandchildren Paula McCary, William Mc-Cary, Rueben Rivera, Chase Newby and Clay Newby, great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Emma, Josh, Christopher and Arianna and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Father Kenneth Harder officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Morquecho, J.J. Morquecho, Matthew Morquecho, Mike Yancey and Tracy Mc-Cary.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Mary’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon- winters.com.
