The Beggs Lady Demons took the field Monday night for a game that carried more meaning than the scoreboard. It was Senior Night in Beggs, and the community came together to honor the dedication, leadership and hard work of the Demon seniors who have given so much to the program.
While Keys Varsity Lady Cougars pulled away with an 11-run third inning that led to a 14-1 final, the night belonged to Beggs’ seniors. Each at-bat, each defensive play, and every moment on the field served as a tribute to their years of commitment in black and gold.
Offensively, the Demons were sparked by Ruby Tenison, who collected two hits in two at-bats to lead the lineup. Abigail Harmon drove in Beggs’ lone run, keeping the crowd energized on a night of celebration.
Defensively, Beggs fought to the end with determination. Willow Herod stood tall with four defensive chances, showcasing the steady effort and resilience the seniors have instilled in their teammates.
In the circle, Senior Kaylynn Hamilton battled against a disciplined Keys lineup, continuing to compete with determination through tough stretches.
When the final out was recorded, the focus shifted back to the true purpose of the evening: celebrating the seniors whose leadership has shaped the team. They walked off their home field surrounded by applause, their efforts remembered not just in the box score, but in the pride they brought to Beggs softball.
