Donald Dale Bledsoe

November 6, 1945 – September 30, 2025

Donald Dale Bledsoe, 79, of Okmulgee, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. He was born on Tuesday, November 6, 1945, to Leamon and Dorothy Freida (Kreisvelt) Bledsoe in Pawnee.

Donald married the love of his life, Linda Harris, on February 24, 1967, in Okmulgee. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two sons, Kenneth and Danny.

Donald was a man of many passions. He loved watching classic westerns, cheering on Oklahoma State and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and was a devoted fan of his beloved Texas Rangers. A true horse enthusiast, he enjoyed watching horse races and found joy in playing bingo, dominoes, cards and table games.

A man deeply rooted in faith, Donald loved God wholeheartedly. He was a member of Jubilee Church until health challenges made it difficult to attend in person. Even then, his faith remained strong as he and Linda worshiped at home, where she lovingly read the Bible to him every day.

Family was everything to Donald. He was a devoted husband and father — a true family man who embraced his extended family as his own, referring to his in-laws as “bonus siblings.”

Professionally, Donald was a skilled welder and pipe fitter. He was a proud former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Plumber and PipeFitters Union. He later worked as a Quality Control Inspector at Sagebrush Pipeline in Sapulpa, where he dedicated over 20 years before retiring.

Donald is preceded in death by both his parents, Leamon and Freida and a brother, Bobby Bledsoe.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; sons, Kenneth Bledsoe and Danny and wife Paige Bledsoe; step grandchildren, Spencer Shafer, Sydnie Enloe, and Chasyn Wagnon; sister- in-law, Patricia Bledsoe, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Donald will be remembered for his strong faith, warm heart, unwavering love for his family, and the values he lived by every day.

A visitation for Donald will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 2-7 p.m., at the McClendon- Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 2 p.m., at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee, with Pastor George Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the Council Hill Cemetery in Council Hill. Honorary casketbearers will be Barney Davis, Ronnie Davis, Nate Graham, Merle Hodson, Brian Howell, Doug Klintworth, Tom McDonald, Doug Pruitt, Spencer Shafer, and Shawn Weathermon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Donald’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon-winters. com
