Fifty years ago, Oklahoma high school football crowned a slate of champions that still stir memories across the state - none more so than two programs right here in Okmulgee County. In 1975, the Okmulgee Bulldogs captured the Class 3A state title with a 2317 win over Ardmore, while the Beggs Demons blanked Millwood 21-0 to take the Class A crown. This fall, both communities will mark the golden anniversary of those championship seasons with special recognitions for the coaches, players, and supporters who made history.
