A 35-year-old Okmulgee resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to a felony firearms charge, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Deaundray Chrisshawn Williams admitted to one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Williams was indicted for knowingly possessing a revolver on Dec. 15, 2024, despite having a prior felony conviction that legally prohibited him from owning or possessing a firearm.
The case was the result of a coordinated investigation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and the Okmulgee Police Department.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson, presiding in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted Williams’ guilty plea and ordered a pre-sentence investigation report to be completed. Williams was remanded into the custody of the United States Marshals Service and will remain in custody pending his sentencing hearing. The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lewis M. Reagan.
