The Beggs Lady Demons left it all on the field Tuesday night, showing determination and steady defense in a 14-3 battle against Chandler. While the scoreboard tilted in Chandler’s favor, the Lady Demons’ effort, discipline and resilience stood out from start to finish.
Kaylynn Hamilton took the ball for Beggs and worked five innings in the circle, fighting through a heavy-hitting Chandler lineup. Hamilton’s toughness kept her squad in position to compete while the Beggs defense backed her up with strong, error-free play. The Lady Demons’ bats came alive behind Ruby Tenison, who drove in two runs and continued to be a force in the heart of the lineup. Tenison finished 1-for-2 and set the tone offensively, while Abby Yandell added another key hit to keep pressure on Chandler’s pitching.
On the field, Beggs showcased their sharpness and focus. Haylee Baughn led the way defensively with four chances handled cleanly, and the Demons turned a double play that fired up the team and fans alike. Most importantly, Beggs didn’t commit a single error, proving their ability to stay locked in against a tough opponent.
Though the Lady Demons came up short, the fight and composure they displayed reflect a program that never backs down, no matter the challenge. With standout moments at the plate and clean defense across the board, Beggs continues to show why they’re a team to respect.
The Lady Demons now turn their attention to a special night ahead – Senior Night against Keys on Monday – where they’ll look to honor their leaders and showcase the heart that defines Beggs softball.
