This report is a summary of activities Okmulgee County Emergency Management participated in and does not reflect all activities performed by or participated in by Okmulgee County Emergency Management.
— Meetings & Coordination
• Attended the Board of County Commissioners meeting to provide updates on emergency management activities.
• Hosted the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meeting at the Emergency Management Office.
• Met with Search and Rescue Team Lead, Michael Hurd II, to begin drafting additional requirements to improve member safety and training.
• Attended the monthly Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Board Meeting.
— Floodplain & Infrastructure Coordination • Received inquiries from three land developers regarding potential development within the floodplain located in Districts 2 and 3.
• Continued compiling information related to April-May Flooding for submission to the FHWA program regarding damages to major collector roads.
• Coordinated with the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management concerning damages to non-major collector roads from the same flooding period.
— Incidents & Notifications
• Notified of an accident involving coun- ty equipment. No injuries to county employees were reported; however, a district backhoe sustained some damage.
— Preparedness & Volunteer Support
• Volunteers successfully completed the erection of a 40-foot HF Amateur Radio Tower at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), enhancing emergency communication capabilities.
