Lady Knights take two from Holdenville
By Patrick Ford Editor

The Henryetta Lady Knights continued their impressive season with back-to-back shutout wins over Holdenville before falling in a slugfest to Prague. The week saw a mix of elite pitching, clutch hitting, and standout performances from several players, especially Kelsey Brandt, who launched two homers in the Prague game.

— Sweep Over Holdenville

On Monday, the Lady Knights traveled to Holdenville and handed the Lady Wolverines a pair of shutout losses, starting with a 12-0 rout. Kynlee Wynne went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and anchored the lineup. Ailanee Hicks added a bases- loaded double that drove in three. Cialee Watkins and Allie Davis also knocked in runs.

The win was fueled by an explosive eight-run third inning where the Knights capitalized on walks, errors, and timely hitting. Allie Davis earned the win with three innings of scoreless relief, striking out five.

Later that day, Henryetta posted a 7-0 victory in the rematch. Jayleigh Easter walked in the first to drive in a run, while Greenhaw and Goodman added RBIs in the second. Easter, Coates, and Greenhaw all tallied hits, while Kelsey Brandt pitched three innings of no-hit softball, striking out four and walking just one.

— Prague outduels Knights, 13-5 The red-hot Prague Lady Red Devils came to town Tuesday and brought their bats, outscoring the Knights 135. Prague got out to an early lead and never looked back, plating multiple runs in the first three innings.

Despite the loss, the game belonged to Brandt, who hit two home runs solo shots in the fifth and seventh. Hicks and Hamric added home runs of their own, making it a four-homer game for the Lady Knights. Wynne went 3-for-3 to continue her offensive tear, and multiple hits came from Rock and Hicks.

In the circle, Keegan Hamric pitched 3.1 innings, giving up six runs, though none were earned. Wynne and Brandt split the remainder of the game. Though the Knights outhit many teams this week, Prague’s 14-hit barrage, including a homer by Emma Hinkle, was too much to overcome.
