The Friends of the Okmulgee Public Library invite the community to take part in their annual book sale, scheduled for Oct. 13-8 at the Okmulgee Public Library, located at 218 S. Okmulgee Street.

Book lovers of all ages can look forward to a wide selection of titles at bargain prices, ranging from bestsellers and children’s books to cookbooks, classics and hidden gems. Proceeds from the sale help support library programs and services throughout the year.

The event kicks off with a special Friends Night on Monday, Oct. 13, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This exclusive preview is for members of the Friends group, but membership can be purchased on-site for those wishing to join and get early access to the full selection.

The sale continues throughout the week with the following schedule:

• Tuesday, Oct. 14 – 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

• Wednesday, Oct. 15 – 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

• Thursday, Oct. 16 – 8:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Extended Evening Hours)

• Friday, Oct. 17 – 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Saturday, Oct. 18 – 8:30-11:30 a.m. (Bag/Box Sale Day) The event concludes Saturday morning with the ever-popular Bag/Box Sale, where shoppers can fill a bag or box with books for one low price – a fantastic opportunity for educators, parents, students and avid readers to stock up.
