Filing period for OPS board ends today

The special candidate filing for the Board of Education Office 4 for Okmulgee Public Schools is underway, with two citizens having filed as of press time Tuesday.

Candidates filing so far are:

• Chase Nunn, 35

• Sarah Beth McIntire, 40 Individuals interested in running for the unexpired term of Board of Education Office 4 must submit a Declaration of Candidacy to the Okmulgee County Election Board between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. today. Candidate filing packets can be obtained from the State Election Board website at https://oklahoma.gov/ elections/candidates/ candidate-filing.html or directly from the County Election Board.

For more information, please contact the County Election Board office at 918-756-2365 or OkmulgeeCounty@ elections.ok.gov. The Okmulgee County Election Board is located at 314 W. 7th Street, Room 102, in Okmulgee, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
