After an extended closure, the Ash Road Bridge in Okmulgee County has officially reopened to traffic. The project, completed with the assistance of the Muscogee Nation, brings much-needed relief and improved access to local residents. Steve Ward, Okmulgee County Commissioner for District 2, expressed his gratitude for the support. “On behalf of Okmulgee County District 2, I can’t thank the Creek Nation enough for completing the Ash Road Bridge,” Ward said. He noted that the contractor worked diligently despite delays caused by bad weather. Motorists are reminded to observe the 40 mph speed limit through the area, as small children often ride bikes and play nearby. Ward encouraged drivers to enjoy the new bridge while staying alert and mindful of the community’s safety.
