Carolyn Sue Palmer
Obituaries
July 25, 2025
Carolyn Sue Palmer

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Sue Palmer, a cherished resident of Okmulgee, who peacefully departed this life on July 17, 2025, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family.

Born on November 15, 1949, to Oral Cecil and Betty Lou Goodwin, Carolyn led a life defined by kindness, unwavering faith and deep devotion to those she held dear. She was the steady heart of her family – graceful, generous and endlessly loving.

For 51 joyful years, Carolyn was united in marriage with the love of her life, Larry Wayne Palmer. Their bond was a beautiful testament to faith, humor, and enduring commitment. Together, they lovingly raised two children: Tina Marie Tiffany of Carlsbad, N.M. and Chad Wayne Palmer of Okmulgee – both of whom carry forward her spirit and values.

Carolyn took great pride in her role as grandmother to Dakota Owen Tiffany, Bryson Wayne Palmer and Nikki Marie Palmer, and as great-grandmother to Oaklen Burgess. Her nurturing love also reached her nieces November 15, 1949 – July 17, 2025

and nephews, her devoted sisters Charlotte Lavonne Simpson of Rockport, Texas and Phyllis JoAnn Goodwin of Okmulgee and her sister-in-law, Esther Palmer of Broken Arrow.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and brother, Carl Wayne Goodwin, whose memory remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Carolyn’s legacy is one of quiet strength, heartfelt generosity and abiding love. Her presence enriched countless lives, and she leaves behind a legacy that will be treasured by all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gary Kelley’s Add’Vantage Funeral Services of Tulsa. A private family gathering will be held in celebration of Carolyn’s remarkable life.
