The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) executed a search warrant on July 16 at Diamond Trichome LLC, located at 1801 N. Morton Avenue in Okmulgee, as part of an active criminal investigation into illegal marijuana operations.
During the operation, OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Teams (MET) seized 7,282 marijuana plants and 534 pounds of processed marijuana from the facility. According to OBN officials, arrests are pending as the investigation continues.
The raid is part of a broader crackdown by OBN targeting illegal marijuana farms operating under fraudulent licensing and linked to black market trafficking. Since launching its intensified enforcement efforts in 2021, OBN MET Agents have shut down more than 6,000 illegal grow operations through a combination of criminal and administrative actions.
Many of these farms, including the one in Okmulgee, are suspected of obtaining state registration through deceptive practices such as “straw ownership” schemes – where a person with legitimate residency status falsely claims ownership on behalf of out-of-state or foreign operators.
At the end of 2022, Oklahoma had approximately 8,400 active marijuana farms registered with OBN. That number has since dropped sharply to around 2,100, reflecting increased scrutiny and enforcement by state authorities.
OBN encourages the public to play a role in fighting illegal drug and human trafficking by reporting suspicious activity. Tips can be submitted anonymously by calling the OBN tip-line at 800-522-8031 or by sending a direct message to the agency via Facebook.
