The Okmulgee Public Library’s Summer Reading Program delighted young audiences with the thrilling Colorful Circus show last week and now looks ahead to a wild Red Dirt Reptiles event on Wednesday.
The Colorful Circus made a big splash at the Okmulgee Public Library this week, drawing laugh- ter, amazement and applause from a packed room of enthusiastic kids and families. The lively performance featured dazzling displays of juggling, balance acts, contortionist feats and colorful characters that kept children on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. The event was part of the library’s ongoing Summer Reading Program, designed to keep kids engaged in learning and literacy throughout the summer break.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. Up next, the library will host Red Dirt Reptiles – a thrilling and educational hands-on encounter with live reptiles, perfect for curious minds and brave hearts. This event is tailored for children ages 5-12, with two identical sessions scheduled for Wednesday at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Both the Colorful Circus and Red Dirt Reptiles are part of the library’s broader mission to combine reading with enriching, real-world experiences. Parents are urged to register early by calling 918-756-1448, as space is limited.
