Teens get creative at OPL Summer Reading Program
The Okmulgee Public Library was buzzing with creativity on Wednesday as 22 teens gathered for a special Summer Reading Program painting class, led by local artist Joy Mander. The event was part of the library’s ongoing summer series aimed at engaging young minds through art, education and hands-on experiences. Participants spent the afternoon exploring their artistic sides, producing colorful and imaginative works under Mander’s guidance. The library staff called it a “fantastic turnout” and thanked Mander for hosting such an inspiring and vibrant session.
