It was my first real job. It was at a Texaco gas station. I had worked before mowing lawns in the neighborhood and delivering papers, but this was my first income deduction receiving a check type job. It was real glamorous – not! I pumped gas, washed windshields, checked the oil levels on cars, scrubbed the oil changing repair work stalls and bathrooms on weekends.
