Sherri Dianne (Strain) Hanson

Sherri Dianne (Strain) Hanson, of Glenpool, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 66 years of age. She was born November 7, 1958, in Tulsa to Charles Edward Strain, Sr. and Donna June (Hampton) Strain. She graduated from Beggs High School, and on August 17, 1979, she married Ronald Leon “Butch” Hanson at First Baptist Church in Beggs. For many years, Sherri worked as a teller at Triad Bank. She and Butch loved traveling and especially liked trying holein- the-wall restaurants. She enjoyed crafting, lighthouses and angels. Most of all, Sherri will be remembered for the way she loved her family so unconditionally.

Preceding her in death was her husband, father, stepfather, Melvin Davis; brother, Charles Edward Strain, Jr. and sister-inlaw, Rhonda Hopper.

Survivors include her daughter, Tara Lynne Hanson; son, Todd Leon Hanson and wife Whitney; November 7, 1958 – June 4, 2025

mother, Donna Strain; grandchildren, Rylie, Laney, Kylan, Penelope “Penny” and Tripp; sisters, Chiquita Walls, Deborah Henderson and Robin Hamilton and husband David; brothers-in-law, Dennis Melton and wife Betty, Danny Melton and wife Suzie and Dickie Melton and wife Nancy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2025, at McClendon- Winters Funeral Home in Beggs.

A memorial service to honor Sherri’s Life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. Rev. David Hamilton will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to help with Sherri’s final expenses at https://secure. goemerchant.com/ secure/custompayment/ mcclendonwintersfuneralhome/ 6527/default. aspx. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
