The sounds of bouncing basketballs and squeaking sneakers will soon fill the Beggs Demon Den, as the community gears up to host the 2025 Beggs Basketball Camp for boys and girls from June 2527. Open to all students entering 1st through 8th grades, this three-day camp promises skill-building, fun, and mentorship from experienced coaches and high school players.
The camp will be held at the Beggs Demon Den (Dome), with participants split into two age-based sessions each day. Children entering 1st through 4th grade will take the court from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while those in 5th through 8th grade will have their session from 1-4 p.m. The cost for each camper is $50.
Campers will be coached by a team of dedicated coaching staff led by Koby Love and high school basketball players, giving them a unique opportunity to learn from seasoned mentors as well as rising stars within the Beggs sports community. The camp will include a wide range of fundamental basketball drills such as dribbling, passing, defense, rebounding and shooting. In addition to instruction, campers will also participate in contests and competitions, with awards distributed on the final day of camp.
All participants are required to wear proper athletic attire, including shorts, a t-shirt and clean tennis or basketball shoes designated only for indoor use on the gym floor. While bringing a personal basketball is optional, campers are encouraged to come prepared to fully engage in the various activities.
One important note for parents and guardians: campers will receive a special camp t-shirt, but only if they are pre-registered online before the event. The pre-registration link is available at https://form. jotform.com/251547136804154. Early registration not only guarantees a camp shirt but also helps organizers plan more effectively for staffing and materials.
For those unable to register in advance, in-person registration will be available on the first day of camp. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of each session for last-minute sign-ups. However, it’s crucial to note that no camper will be allowed to participate until payment is received. Payment will be accepted in person, and checks should be made payable to Koby Love.
In addition to the registration process, a consent form must be completed. The form includes spaces for the child’s name, upcoming grade, gender, school and the names and phone numbers of both parents or guardians. It also includes a required authorization statement allowing the camp’s directors and agents to make decisions in case of an emergency requiring medical attention.
A certificate of participation will be awarded to every camper, adding a sense of accomplishment and a lasting memory of their summer basketball experience.
With a strong emphasis on skill development, team building and community engagement, the Beggs Basketball Camp offers an excellent opportunity for young athletes to hone their talents and build confidence – both on and off the court.
For additional information or to pre-register, families are encouraged to use the online form provided and prepare their campers for three days of fun, learning and basketball action. Whether it’s their first time dribbling or they’re already dreaming of varsity- level play, this camp has something for every young hoop enthusiast.
Beggs is once again proving its commitment to youth development and athletics by offering this well-organized and fun-filled summer event. Don’t miss out – register today!
