Rev. Leman Lewis, Sr. passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 27, 2025, in Okmulgee.
Rev. Lewis was the former pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Holdenville, and was a loyal team member of the Harlan Ford Motor Company in Okmulgee, retiring as the Automotive Service Manager. He was also passionate and vested in the revitalization and remodeling of the Okmulgee Colored Hospital on 3rd and

A devoted father, grandfather, friend and community leader, the proud Dunbar High School graduate will be missed by all who shared time with him during his life.
Visitation for Rev. Lewis will be held at the Chapel of Peace of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. of Okmulgee on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 2-6 p.m.
The celebratory service honoring the life and service of Rev. Lewis will be held Saturday morning, June 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Baptist Church. Rev. McKinley Rice, Senior Pastor, will preside.
The final salute will take place Wednesday morning, June 11, 2025, beginning promptly at 11 a.m. at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, with military honors.
