Daniel E. Anderson, 74, of Nuyaka, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, due to complications from Congestive Heart Failure. He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Betty Anderson and his brother Kenny Dale Anderson, all of Okmulgee. He is survived by his loving spouse of 25 years, Kimberly Anderson; his three children, Mendy Gonzales of Callahan, Colo., Kelly Rodriguez and her husband Fermin Rodriguez IV of Slidell, La. and Derek Anderson and his wife Jacquelynn Anderson of Okmulgee; his two stepchildren Clint Scism and his wife Selena Scism of Morris and Lacy Scism of Okmulgee; his seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with his brother, Thomas Anderson and his two May 28, 2025

children Chris and Molly Anderson.

A memorial service to honor Daniel’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on June 6 at the Schaudt’s Funeral Service Chapel, located at 220 S. Alabama Ave. in Okmulgee. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in remembrance. A burial will follow on a later date at the family plot. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Okmulgee Lion’s Club in memory of Dan, a cause that was very dear to his heart.
