Donald Eugene Brill

Donald Eugene Brill, 90, of Morris, passed away peacefully at his home on May 26, 2025.

Born on February 21, 1935, in Mounds, Donald was the son of W.A. “Bill” and Bertha Catherine (Whisman) Brill. A lifelong resident of Morris, he was known for his strong work ethic, kind spirit and love for his family. On August 14, 1954, he married the love of his life, LaVeda June Vaughan. To this union they had 3 wonderful children.

Donald worked at Reynolds Lumber and Hardware Company for an incredible 58 years, where he became a trusted and respected member of the team. He took great pride in his work and in the simple pleasures of life. He especially enjoyed mowing the grass, tending to his garden and caring for his cattle. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, “Bill” and Bertha, wife, LaVeda, great granddaughter, Shelby Abbott and siblings, Willie Brill, Virgie Casselman and Curtis Brill.

He is survived by his children, Karen and husband Gary Wilson, Kent and wife Connie Brill and Kevin and wife Debbie Brill; grandchildren, Kendra Fitzl, Kristy Fitzl, Rodney and wife Mandy Brill, Kimberly and husband Eric Abbott and Marshall and wife Misty Andrews; great grandchildren, Ryatt Brill, Kelby Brill, Austyn Brill, Khiya Brill, Brayley Abbott, Dakota Andrews, Dayton Andrews and Hasley February 21, 1935 – May 26, 2025

Brill; sister Thelma June Rushing, along with many nieces, nephews and other family members and loved ones.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Mays Home Health and Hospice and his caregivers, Vivian, Debbie, Alona, Shalon and Jessie, for the tremendous care and support they gave to Donald.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for Donald will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, at McClendon- Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, at Morris United Pentecostal Church in Morris, with Rev. Freddie Waldrep officiating. Casket bearers will be Gary Wilson, Rodney Brill, Jimmie Hurt, Mike Foster, Larry Vaughan and Bud Brill. Honorary casket bearers will be Dave Reynolds and Glenn Robbins. Interment will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Donald’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon- winters.com.
