The Okmulgee County Sheriff ’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a theft and threat incident that occurred Sunday evening at a Dollar Store near 231st Street and U.S. Highway 75.
According to Sheriff Eddy Rice, at approximately 9:30 p.m. on May 4, an unidentified male entered the store, loaded seven cases of beer into a shopping cart, and exited the store without paying. When a store employee attempted to confront the individual outside, the suspect allegedly threatened the worker, stating he would “put his gun” on them.
The suspect was seen leaving the scene in a small silver or gray sedan and headed north on Highway 75. No injuries were reported, but the nature of the threat has elevated the case to a higher priority.
OCSO Investigators are actively pursuing leads, reviewing surveillance footage, and following up with potential witnesses. Sheriff Rice encourages members of the public who may recognize the individual or have information about the vehicle to contact the Okmulgee County Sheriff ’s Office directly.
Anyone with tips is urged to call 918-756-4311 and request to speak with an investigator.
The investigation remains ongoing.
