Betty Allen (Moore) Ferguson
Obituaries
May 2, 2025
Betty Allen (Moore) Ferguson

Betty Allen Alberta (Moore) Ferguson was born December 2, 1949, in Henryetta, to the proud parents of Aaron Moore and Iola Broadus. A woman of remarkable strength, boundless love and undeniable style, she left a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She passed away peacefully April 25, 2025, in Tulsa, surrounded by family.

Betty was a 1968 graduate of historic Dunbar High School. She spent many years of her professional life as a dedicated and successful realtor – helping others find homes while always making her own feel like the warmest, most welcoming place in the world.

Faith was central to her life. Though the exact age she accepted Christ may not be known, her walk with Him was evident. She was a baptized believer and an active, respected member of her church, where she served faithfully on the Trustee Board.

Family was her heartbeat. She was a fiercely loving mother to her one and only daughter, Tina – her best friend, constant companion and the joy of her life. They were inseparable: shopping partners, travel buddies and the definition of thick as thieves. Resilient, courageous and full of class and sass, she lived life on her own terms – with grace, grit and a smile that could light up any room.

Betty was preceded in deathbyhermotherand father; her sister Netheria Rochelle Laremore; and brother Theodore Ford. She is survived by her daughter Tina Turner Clement and husband John of Claremore; siblings, Earnest Ford, Earnestine Sheared and Kenneth Williams of Okmulgee, Kim Williams and Walter Wilson of Tulsa and Lloyd Durham and wife Kim of Allen, Texas; three grandchildren, December 2, 1949 – April 25, 2025

Danielle Adamson, Dillon Adamson of Tulsa, Camille Pelton whom she affectionately called her “mini-me” and husband Carion Pelton of Tucson, Arizona; two great-grandchildren, Dillon Adamson Jr. and Adrian Adamson of Tulsa, who knew her as their cherished “GiGi,” and host of nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished.

Those who knew her will remember her loving and encouraging spirit, her no-nonsense wisdom, her generous heart and her love for the Lord, her family and the finer things in life.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and faith that will live on in the hearts of her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who were fortunate to know her.

Though she may no longer walk beside us, her presence will forever guide us.

Flower Girls: Camille Pelton, Danielle Adamson, Nina Wherry, Pam Metcalf, Lashanna Ford, Lashonda Marie, Reneka Williams, Lisa Williams, Dawn Ford and June Frazier.

Paulbearers: Dillon Adamson, Carion Pelton, Kenneth William, Lloyd Durham, Prentice Ford, Patrick Ford, Kenny Metcalf, Martin Sheared and Theodore Ford Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Spirit Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Tulsa Burial will follow at Hawkins Cemetery in Hoffman under the direction of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. Tulsa Chapel.
