The City of Okmulgee is asking for the public’s assistance after a cityowned vehicle was stolen in a break-in at the Public Works Facility on Sunday, April 27.
According to authorities, a white 2016 Ford F-350 utility truck was taken after the suspect or suspects drove it through the facility’s locked gates, causing significant damage to the entrance. The utility truck contained several valuable pieces of equipment, including multiple tools, brass fittings and clamps, a 12volt pump and an Echo concrete saw.
The stolen truck was recovered the following morning, Monday, April 28. However, the investigation into the theft remains ongoing as law enforcement seeks to identify those responsible.
The City of Okmulgee is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 918–756-3511 to speak with Detective Cantrell.
The incident not only resulted in property loss but also disrupted city operations by removing critical equipment needed for public works projects.
Authorities have also released a photo of the truck to aid in gathering leads. The Okmulgee Police Department encourages residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity related to the case.
