Clarence “Wayne” Skaggs, age 75, passed away in Mountain Home, Ark. on April 16, 2025. He was born on April 25, 1949, to Clarence Henry and Imogene (Hunter) Skaggs in Stidham.
Wayne graduated high school and then served in the United States Army until transferring to the Army Reserves.
Wayne spent many days hunting and fishing. He treasured every moment he shared with his grandsons as he taught them the skills he loved.
He is survived by his wife Carla, daughterin- law Jamie Skaggs, stepsons Jimmy Maynard and Timothy Maynard, grandsons Hunter Skaggs and Artcher, Skaggs three sisters Marilyn Greene of Houston, Marvena Belcher of Eufaula, Carol Cowan of Bixby and brother Les Skaggs of Mannford.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Linda (Noble) A pril 25, 1949 – April 16, 2025
Skaggs, and son, Steven Skaggs.
Funeral services for Wayne will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Lake Eufaula Christian Church in Eufaula. Viewing will be held from 12-6 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025, at McClendon- Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee.
