The Dewar Dragons put together a strong allaround performance on Monday to top Meeker 9-1 on the road, led by standout efforts from Skelly Taylor and a deep lineup.
Taylor was brilliant both on the mound and at the plate. The senior threw five innings of two-hit ball, striking out five and allowing no earned runs. Offensively, Taylor drove in three runs and went 2-for3, including a two-RBI double in the first and an RBI single in the third.
The Dragons came out hot with four runs in the first, highlighted by Taylor’s double and an error that allowed another two runs. Dewar followed up with two more in the second inning on doubles by Luke Hankins and Aidan Tomlinson.
