Alice Manning Zahn was born to William Gibbs and Eunice Phelps in Siloam Springs, Ark. She was raised in northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma.
Alice married Stauss Manning in 1950. They had three children, Janna, Jim and Mike. Alice worked at Citizens Bank. She moved to Texas in 1978 and worked as a bank consultant.
Alice married Bob Zahn in 1983 and gained a stepdaughter, Linda, and stepson, Jeff. She was a 50+ year member of The Order of Eastern Star and a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, December 12, 1931 – April 14, 2025
husband, siblings and stepson. She is survived by her children, stepdaughter, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice passed peacefully on April 14, 2025, in Humble, Texas at the age of 93.
